Via delivers well on service and ambiance but the food does not live up to its visual and ambient prowess. Appetizers are always good but main dishes are lacking. Their pastas are extremely oily and heavy and their pizzas are not Italian style. Can’t understand why our fig and prosciutto pizza came with red sauce and regular cheese pizza cheese which are not included in the ingredients of the pizza on the menu (and shouldn’t be in the pizza anyways). The figs were like dry, sour sun dried tomatoes and did not mesh well with the overall flavor of the pizza. Also as a caesar salad lover, do not order their caesar salad. Sure, it’s cool that they grill it and the dressing is lovely but you have to cut an entire romaine yourself. It’s not cool and innovative, it’s just annoying. However their cheesecake is thick, dense, and rich which I enjoy. Overall the main dishes are overpriced and mediocre. I’d recommend sharing appetizers and desserts and stay away from anything else on the menu.
My husband and I frequent Via for our favorite meals, the bolognese and the short rib over gnocchi. We were there last night to find out the chef has changed the short rib dish. It is now a shredded short rib over tortellini with a Marsala sauce. Very disappointing…. Please bring back the original recipe!
Went for the first time on Father's Day. Food was on point, but the server made it even better
Ask for Serrina. She was our amazing server for the evening.
Only rated down one star because the portion of the calamari and the portion of the cannoli were exceedingly small HOWEVER the meal was phenomenal. The lobster stuffed shells and the salad were great. Server was great and the atmosphere was cozy. I’d go there again for sure, just pass on the app and dessert.
