Backwoods - Woodland

Okay, it's been a year since I was here. Last time, the service was a nightmare as you can read below. I thought I'd give them another shot because they had time to make things clear. I had expected too much, but NOPE. I'm going in, and the sign says, please wait. Many tables are open in the dining room and bar area. I stand there for 10 minutes, no hostess or waitress comes to me. After all, the waitress goes past the bar and says we'll be with you in a minute. Nobody comes to me, and the waitress takes an order in the bar. 8 minutes later, I'm out. I'll never try this place again. I went home (Buffalo Bar and Grill), where everyone is great. If I could not give Backwoods a star rating, I would, and even that would be too much!

Great service very good food. Guests can enjoy a visit in the summer. Very good value. Only wish menu selection was bigger. will definitely return

We visited this restaurant on a Friday night near the end of the closing time. The waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. The cook himself hand delivered additional frits to our table. I never had food in a restaurant that was so hot! You could say the waitress brought it to us as soon as it was done. The appetizer was amazing, the fried zucchini was especially good! I want to return to Backwoods when I'm back in Payson.

Food is always good and service. Very good pizza. Great place to watch sports events on TV.

Thought we'd try something new in Payson after our hike. Really not sure why there's so many mixed reviews.There were two sides. One more of a bar section the other for one geared more for eating. Lots of tvs on both sides with a mixture of sports. Food was delicious and staff was attentive and friendly. Prices were not outrageous. Would return on another trip.
