Visited this hotel over Labor Day weekend for a quick night away with my better half. We decided to stop in at the hotel bar for a drink and to catch the football games on TV. It's a nice little place, but a bit too brightly lit for a bar. It's a nice place to visit deep into the lobby. The place was packed. I was surprised the bar had that many patrons on a quiet Saturday night. We actually had to wait for someone to leave so we could get a spot at the bar so I could see the televisions. I assume management didn't expect as many patrons that night since the single guy working behind the bar was the only one serving all of us. He had a smile on his face throughout, as he kept busy making sure everyone never had an empty glass. The bar doesn't have a great deal of choices when it comes to top shelf alcohols, but our server , Brendan, helped pick a good substitute for our drinks. It was a nice evening, and the cheerful staff helped make it a nice relaxing place for a way to finish the day.
Avoid this place when Brendon is working! The Hilton should be ashamed of employing such an individual . He is the most unprofessional, incompetent and I 'm sure was impaired behind the bar. He did not have comprehension of basic bar substitutes, continuously paced in confusion when an order was given. He kept forgetting my order yet would turn it on me with extreme rude sarcasm. He delivered our meal (party of 4) to the tables situated at the bar yet when I ordered another meal he never informed me to pick up my meal which was sitting at the bar, cold and with people spoke over it during this conscious time . Furthermore, since I called him out on his miscommunication with the food and logic he decided to cut me off from my wine yet served people who were at the bar since opening (the outdoor pool is within passing) until this 9PM encounter. His demeanor and evident impairment is concerning and a terrible representation of this company
Just stopped in to have a few drinks, since I was staying at the hotel. I spend over 200 nights a year in hotels, and this was the worst service I have ever received. Besides being extremely slow and a showing of no interest in the customer, lack of training seems to be the problem.
The restaurant was pretty slow. Most of the tables needed to be wiped down. I ended up sitting at the bar which i generally avoid but it was one of the few clean spots. I order $18 wings. The food took 40 minutes. I was very surprised because there were only 6 wings. So at $3.00 a wing, I was expecting good wings. They were decent size but were over cooked and the hot sauce was a side of straight Tabasco sauce. The bartender was not very attentive to her customers or me. I ended up having to order another item even though I wasn't vey hungry when I arrived. My next order took another 40 minutes. It was also overcooked. I had to flag her down for the check and to ask her to take off the other item. She apologised and took it off. If you are going to charge $18 for wings, have it be a decent portion, not 6 wings.
