I am thrilled that Sunday roasts are back. Everything was cooked perfectly and the service was exceptional. The chef mentioned that he runs the kitchen with an American diner menu, and I promised to visit. I am so glad I did. This family-run pub never fails to impress me. Great value, great service, and wonderful people.
My husband, two children, and I went to The Plough on Sunday. I ordered the roast lamb, my husband got the roast beef, and my children had children's portions of roast chicken. Everything was incredibly delicious, especially the honey-roasted vegetables. My children, who are usually picky eaters, loved their meals. As a bonus, every roast comes with a Yorkshire pudding, which was perfect. The atmosphere of the pub was lovely, and we will definitely be going back.
We were looking forward to a Sunday dinner, especially when they advertised Lamb Shank, which is my favorite. We booked for 2 o'clock. The menu just had lamb roasts, so I ordered this. Although we had booked for 2, we were not served our meal...until 2.55. We weren't asked if we wanted any condoms or a mint sauce. The lamb was chewing and I don't know how, but the roast potatoes were chewing too. We were so hungry that we just ate and left. So disappointed as we heard good things about the food.
Popped in today lovely. We had the platter. plus Pd Thai Kaeng Kiew Wan. We had seen the pub had started serving Thai we thought we'd try Definitely recommend...
