As a frequent visitor to Marnacook Lake, I was so happy to find out this summer that van der Brew opened! We took the boat down one summer afternoon for some beers and fun. Huge space, lots of beers we opted to sit outside at one of the picnic tables. Food trucking serving pizza while we were there was phenomenal. My fiance even bought a hat and some stickers for our cooler! We will be back!
Even the Maine Brewers Guild can't keep up to date with all the new brews in the state judging by their website. This gem is a latest addition to the scene. Very good brew selections so far and a stellar winter ale is currently available in small batch so hurry for that one. Great service and the friendly brewmaster is always there to say hi. There is no food but you can order for delivery from around the corner at either Pete's Roast Beef (awesome), Winthrop House of Pizza (never been) or you can bring your own food from anywhere. Oh, and by the lake? Yes, indeed. Can't wait for summer. I'm told there will be food trucks too, inside and out!
Stopped in to visit the brewery as part of the Maine Beer Trail and enjoyed Trivia Night. The place was packed and had a great atmosphere. Loved the beer and met the owners, who were exceptionally friendly. Highly recommend.
Beers are great. Inside/ outside seating. Food truck making pizzas and bakery items. Live music. Corn hole games Inside.
