Unprofessional staff and place. Made me and my friends take off our zip up sweaters and charged us $4 for coat check ontop of $10 to get in per person. Drinks are expensive, it would be worth it if it wasn’t in a basement down 2 flights of stairs and under the pipes of the place upstairs. A literal money grab. Do not recommend.
Don't do club scenes but for a birthday party, your cocktail lounge set up was nice. Good music, liked the back of the kitchen entrance vibe.
Didn't try the food. They make a good negroni, but depending on the bartender they may not be able to make the range of cocktails you'd expect from a speakeasy style spot. Still, prices run on the cheaper end for a cocktail bar. Lighting skews a little dark, but is okay. The neon lights are cool, and the art on the walls has an intentionally trashy vibe to it that I enjoyed. Couches are comfortable, but it tends to divide the room between the half with high tables by the bar and low-slung couches and chairs. I suspect the music quality may depend on the act, when I was there all the sound came from two speakers right beside the DJ, and sounded a little tinny. But, this review is based on two hours from one night.I'd give it another chance. It's not fantastic, but it was still ok. They have house music on Thursdays, which may be a little better in terms of audio quality.
Had to waot to get in and when we got in it was quiet. Why pretend to be a big exclusive club? ......in winnipeg! Lol wouldn't recommend
