If you had proof of being at The Fringe, they even had a deal- flatbread pizza and 16 oz Peg draft for $18. Great deal. The Donny Lablonde draft was good! Both the mushroom flatbread and the prosciutto flatbread were excellent!
Expected alot more. Menu was very disappointing. Stopped in for a beer, only a few local beer offered, and the rest from different areas. Would have liked to have a pitcher of the one we tried, but no pitcher offered. Only by the glass. Very minimal menu. Don't go if you like meat. Very vegan and gluten free friendly. The flatbread did look good, but too much money for what you got. $15.00 - $16.00 each. We sat outside, as inside was very noisy. Very tall ceiling, and no sound barrier. Outside only had 2 picnic tables offered to sit at. not great if you are wanting an intimate private conversation. You hear everybody else around you, The only meat dishes offered were if you were 4 people. whole chicken with veggies, would have been ok, if there were more than 2 of us, and if we all wanted chicken. LOL.
We came here last night for the first time and it was an excellent experience the wait staff are extremely knowledgeable the food was hot but best of all the beer was cold there is absolutely no reason not to go back good job staff
Okay, so I have to be honest - I come here a lot. At least twice or three times a month for lunch especially in the summer. The food is fantastic, the beer is excellent (The Countess is the best!) and staff are always fantastic. Most, if not everything, is made from scratch - including the bread which is baked in-house and is amazing. Their flatbreads are fantastic - the bacon and egg in particular is my favourite. It's so simple, but amazing! The smoked pike sandwich is another winner (they're all great though)!
I went here one evening with a friend and we enjoyed our meal so much that we returned a few days later with our family. It was an awesome place for a family meal, as we shared the family style roast chicken dinner that came on a platter with roast carrots, parsnips and the most fantastic potatoes. The gravy too was delicious. The platter was ample food for five (5) of us, which included to hungry 20 somethings, along with a couple of appetizers. The service is friendly and the vibe is casual and welcoming. It was a great experience and, of course, the beer choices were good, given they brew their own. All in all an excellent experience and I look forward to returning.
