Oh My Cod - Windsor and Maidenhead

My company has an office in Maidenhead, and I was looking for a walkable location for lunch. It was on National Fish and Chips day (June 2), and found this little spot, Oh My Cod, nearby. I ordered the small, and it was still a huge portion; a full fried filet of cod, and a very large portion of chips. Everything was delicious – I could use some salt, but that could be just me. Also got their steak pie, which was small and delicious. Including my can of coke, it cost only £14. They were getting phone in orders non-stop while I was there. Seems to be family owned, and the people that work there are extremely friendly. There were locals in there that they knew by name. There are no tables, so take-away only. I'll be going back whenever I'm in the Maidenhead offices.

Went for cod and chips. Good service, good food. Busy place, swift service considering all cooking time.

The Fish and chips is excellent. The service however is at best poor. It takes far to long to get severed. Phone orders are a complete and utter waste of time, as they don't actually start cooking your fish order until you arrive. I was there last night for dinner, the girl who was working behind the counter was slow and rude, when I asked what was the point of a telephone order, she replied we are busy. When I said that's not an excuse, as my order was placed over half an hour earlier she replied that's your problem.

Best fish and chips in maidenhead. Nice crispy chips and consistently good fish. Every time we get our fish and chips from them we enjoy it and we know we can rely on their quality

Sadly disappointing. A very long wait whilst it was cooked. Soggy chips. Lack of salt and vinegar. Batter was far to thick and heavy. Very disappointed.
