The Old Boathouse - Wiltshire

This restaurant is absolutely terrible. The food was awful. I will never go back again. I got sick in the restroom after eating a small amount of questionable fish. They even forgot my starter and the food was so poorly cooked that my three-year-old could have done a better job.

The restaurant was overpriced and the food was not worth the wait. A member of our party ordered soup for a starter, which cost £8 and came with a hard breadstick. Another member ordered fish and chips, but the fish was grey, tasteless, and overly greasy. When we complained, no replacement was offered, just the option to order something else at an additional cost. The food at the hotel bar was better in comparison. The only positive aspect of our meal was the friendly waitress who dealt with our complaints all night. The manager did not apologize for the issue, even though we were the second group to complain that night.

The selection of dishes seems to have decreased since our last visit and was somewhat underwhelming. The lake view is still enjoyable, but I believe that the menu could use some improvement.

We came to The Old Boathouse for our anniversary, and the whole experience was fantastic. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. Our waitress Liv was great and very friendly. Hannah was also very helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic too, we had a pasta special and the lemon sole which were both great! Would recommend!

Had a great night. Food was lovely and the staff were excellent especially Josie who was extremely helpful. Would recommend this place
