Really good food, large portions and super nice folks

June 9, 2020 Ate at the new restaurant in Wiggins, CO today. It’s called State Park Bar and Grill and is just north of Hwy 34 where Archies’ used to be. Folks from this area will know what I mean and I am showing my age knowing that! LOL ???? Had a great meal! Crab Rangoon for an appetizer, Coca~Cola products on tap, and a simple menu but its expanding to include steaks and street tacos! I had a bacon cheese burger and fries for lunch! It rocked, fresh and moist and grilled to perfection. It was a thin juicy patty that was nicely crisped on the outside and the fries were seasoned with something very yummy! They didn’t even need salt or ranch and those are my fry go tos! It was quiet and clean in there, very simple, but the staff was kind and friendly. My waitress offered a to-go cup for my drink and put in more ice and asked if I wanted it topped off too. I hope they make it and that they continue to do a good job with the food! I also hope they do a Facebook page and as they expand and establish themselves they’ll hopefully decorate the inside a bit with some sort of theme. Anyway, if you’re around these parts, I sincerely hope you check them out. How did I even know they were open? Yesterday when I was at the local grocery store in Wiggins one of the workers from the restaurant came in with takeout containers of food and a menu, gave them to the grocery store worker and said that they were open for business and hoped that they would stop in and visit. I was really impressed by that because I thought that was a good way to foster business to business support locally and it was just a really kind and smart gesture. I was impressed! 

We dined there this past Saturday, and all I can say is WOW! The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional. There were three of us, and each of us ordered something different: chicken fried steak, fried chicken, and a bacon cheeseburger. Honestly, for the price we paid, we definitely received great value—if not more! We also tried the Elvis Fries, and I have to admit, I usually don’t like anything with jalapeños, but they were the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely order them again! Everything was so good that we each took home a cinnamon roll, which was also the best I’ve ever tasted. You could tell the icing and the roll were homemade. A big thank you to State Park Bar Grill! The next time we are in the area, we will make sure to eat there again!

We've visited several times. It was decent at first, but during our last two visits, the place was filthy. The service was lacking, the food was subpar, and the staff's attitude was sarcastic. There were kids of the employees running around barefoot, the music was blasting, and no one was wearing masks. In my opinion, don't waste your time or money here.
