The service is efficient but not very cheerful...and the eating area is functional and luminous. A good choice for midday working lunches and families with a limited budget.
We came as a family for dinner. I had no idea on price so when I saw zebra, camel and kangaroo on the buffet I freaked out a little, but our entire bill with adults and kids came to just over euro....INSTRUCTIONS: the part closest to the door is the Mongolian grill. Take one of the clothespins from the little container on your table... Go put what you want on your plate. Don't forget a sauce (there are little cups by the sauce to put it in). When your plate is perfect put that clothespin on the side of your plate and put it on the counter by the guy grilling.... and walk away. The waitress will bring your plate to your table once it is ready. Meanwhile you can go check out the other side of the buffet. This is your typical buffet stuff being kept warm in pans. A decent selection of both hot and cold items. A few soups, some rice and some benign items like French fries and chicken nuggets for the kids. I really liked the curry and found a few of the other dishes I tried to be cooked well and quite flavorful. Remember you pay for your drinks by the glass/vessel so if you think you want what water just bust out and get the big one. They also had some interesting had ice creams... like black sesame and green tea. Overall this was a decent experience. As always I put the wrong sauce on my Mongolian eats and end up not enjoying it as much as I should... but that's just me... I'm sure you'll get it perfect. I will try again later... Oh... and as far as how the zebra, camel and kangaroo was... I liked my shrimp better, but I can say I tried them I guess. And the sushi... I wasn't super impressed, but it's not what I came for so that was okay.
Didn't seem to be as many entree options as I was hoping for with the buffet. Prices were okay for an all-u-can-eat style.
Hard to find restaurant, does reasonable buffet style lunch, just make sure you don't go too late, as they clear the food and shut promptly. Fairly good choice of food, quite a lot of battered things and limited desserts, the drinks are very expensive and...they don't serve tap water. The decor is nice and the staff pleasant.
We used to eat here, and it was good good at good prices. Then, we returned after about months. I was shocked to see that ente is no longer available until you pay the dinner-time price of instead of the we paid...for the Mongolian-Chinese buffet lunch. We asked for tap water, and received two glasses of poured water--there was no bottle--for each. We said we only wanted tap water kostenlos, and he said that we had to pay the same price as if we ordered soda. Then, finally, i went to get some dessert, specifically softeis', and that was also no longer available for lunch! So, it is obvious that Chinakrone is trying to make lots of money as soon as it can. Beware of going to a Chinese buffet wthout any duck OR ice-cream! The buffet is quite plain and simple. I did not have any sushi or Mongolian hotpot. I just ate the prepared buffet. There are plenty better in town, and I will be going back to them in the future. No more Chinakrone!
