The portions are generous, everything is fresh, and the service is fantastic. Don't miss the mango chicken and the Singapore noodles, which are full of juicy shrimp and sweetness. Thanks to Mindy for the excellent and fast service.
I do not recommend this restaurant. I ordered the pad thai, which is priced at $13, but you have to choose a protein to add. I chose the bark, which made the dish cost $30 as there were only five pieces of bark included. This ends up being $3 per piece of bark. Despite being labeled as mildly spicy, the dish had no spice at all and lacked flavor. It seemed like nothing was added to enhance the taste, with only walnuts, tofu, and the five pieces of bark present. None of these ingredients were enjoyable to eat. I also tried the egg rolls, which were bland and equivalent to those found at a typical Asian buffet. Overall, the food quality was underwhelming and not worth the high price.
When we ordered the roti paratha, we were pleasantly surprised when Lin, the owner, asked if we wanted chicken curry or lentil curry to go with it, just like they do in Malaysia. Most Malaysian restaurants in the USA only offer chicken curry. The beef rendang was flavorful and the Hainan chicken was delicious. They have a small interior with only one table, but hopefully they will add a few more tables outside in the summer. Don't let that stop you though, the food is absolutely amazing. I found out from Lin that her brother, who is the chef, makes all the dishes and desserts from scratch. We enjoyed our meal so much that we ended up ordering another plate, a few rolls, and four desserts to go.
My favorite restaurant in the northwest suburbs. everything I had on the menu is incredible and I love eating all that they introduced me. lin and all the others here are super nice and treats them like family. I have to come here.
There is real love and skill in this kitchen! Make sure to try Chef Tony’s specialties. Also, the chicken satay is the best I’ve ever had
