Adelle's Fine American Fare - Wheaton

Steak was fabulous but side veggies were undercooked. The appetizer was inedible. Service was slow. My husband's drink was spilled by a wait staff and never compensated or refilled.

Adelles reopened after a brief closure to redecorate and we were happy to have our favorite spot back. A delicious beef filet ,perfectly prepared , was the star of dinner. But the salted caramel gelato with chocolate bits wasn't far behind. Another great meal at Adelles

Hubby and I decided we needed a night out at one of our favorite intimate restaurants, Adelle's after two weeks of babysitting for two toddlers. We were not disappointed. Husband opened with a delicious fruity white sangria and then I ordered the salmon over fried rice with spring vegetables. Salmon was grilled perfectly and a nice portion. Husband opted for the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and garlic, green beans. Delicious and perfectly cooked. The ambience was warm and conversation- friendly. Our table looked out over their outdoor patio, which was very pleasant. We will for seating there next time.

It was out first visit to Adele's. We wanted to try a new restaurant and the reviews were very favorable. We thought the food was just OK. I ordered the slow braised beef with gnocchi. The meat was tender, the overall meal, not much taste. My husband ordered the Pork tacos and it came with a very strange/odd sauce. Our first impression was when we walked in to check in for our reservation, the phone was ringing and the host answered the phone. Instead of placing the call on hold and seating us, he took (what we thought) a lengthy dinner reservation. The experience did not meet our expectations.

Food delicious! Eclectic decor. Good service. Cocktails were inconsistently made and it was a bit too warm inside. But, the food was really great so we'll probably give it another try.
