My wife had chocolate chip on a sugar cone and based on the name alone, I selected a lobster tracks on a sugar cone. We've all seen moose tracks ice cream a zillion times, but how many have ever heard of lobster tracks? Well, I hadn't so that's a good a reason as any for ordering it. The base ice cream was a vanilla with chocolate ripples, sort of what I call vanilla fudge. There were bright red chips (lobster shell red) mixed in the ice cream that I had trouble identifying. At first I thought they were red M&Ms, but they weren't. They were shaped like a teeny tiny Reese's PB cup, but they were solid red through and through. Must have been some sort of white chocolate or candy base dyed with very healthy red dyes (cough...cough), and formed into molds, Oh well, it was good. And the small cone was a decent size.
One of my favorite things about this deli, is that Mike, the owner is a super great guy.He uses Boar's head meat, and offers lots of interesting sandwich options. They have a veggie burger option that can be put in a wrap, they do the Thanksgiving rap, they also offer a turkey bomb, which is basically a White Russian. Mmmm. They have loads of freshly baked cookies and bagels as well that you can have any time of day. My only complaint is that the coffee is sometimes lukewarm and I like a nice hot coffee with my meal.
I was out for a drive since it was nice out and I was bored. Stopped here because the sign stood out. I have an issue with gluten but every once in a while I can eat gluten with no ill effects (as long as it doesn 't build up in my system), so I decided to indulge in a sandwich. I had The Gobbler , which is a hot turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce It was pretty good, but I wish the bread had been grilled a bit more. Was it worth using one of my rare gluteny meals on? Mmm, I dunno. I like the environment in here. Really relaxed, and a good place to people watch since it 's on a main road. There 's a big chunk of the restaurant that 's under renovation or something so it 's kind of creepy. I was tempted to go eat on the patio but you had to go through that part to get to it, so I didn 't. Bathrooms are very clean and staff is friendly.
Not fancy but really great fresh sandwiches. Friendly, clean, fast and reasonably priced. Have gone there often and is always good.
The owner/manager of the business kept the business open for us even though we arrived twenty (20) minutes after closing. He also served at least five other people in addition to us. Although they did not have cherry vanilla ice cream (my favorite), this service and business gets five thumbs up! Ehr I mean five stars!
