When we walked in there were four members of staff just stood behind the counter doing absolutely nothing. We got served no problem but when we went to sit outside the whole are disgusting!! Bin over flowing with rubbish and all over the floor, all the tables were covered in rubbish and not been wiped in what looked like all day, rubbish blown all over the floor! Just vile and bot how the area should be treated
Drinks were cold even though served immediately. Cakes were not a treat as VERY small portions for prices although flavours were nice. Costa Coffee should be a treat not a Weight Watchers experience ! Wouldn't go back as food and drink disappointing. Decour dated and not particularly clean..toilets not pleasant experience and need updating however regularly mopped. Management need to refurbish and train staff on presentation and address portion size in relation to their Customer Experience and Marketing Strategy as is conflicting. Will try other cafés at Marshall's Yard as a lot of other places to eat and drink with plenty of seating and better ambiance.
Brought my english teacher here on end of mock exams date. She had a small latte and it was given to her in a steel bucket! with cream cheese instead of milk what a farm LOL
Right in the heart of Gainsborough next to the fountain the outside area is a very communal space with children playing and families sitting around on a summer day . The shop itself is clean and tidy but the staff are a bit slow.
Currently get a bitter coffee with a lump of syrup at the bottom, would appreciate someone teaching them how to use a spoon. Once that's accomplished I'd like to be able add a choice of syrups to drinks via the app
