Piatto Bravo - Wellington

Delicious food, great outdoor seating space, attentive service.

The restaurant was closed for business. There was a handwritten note on the door saying they were closed.

Unfortunately I've never before had pizza that was simultaneously undercooked and burnt... There was also a very odd ratio of cheese/oil to dough to any kind of pizza sauce. Perhaps it was an off-night and it did look like there might be a kitchen staffing shortage issue because the single pizza chef was hard at work, maybe just needs some extra help. The other dishes sadly disappointing as well. Food came out either too cooled off or scorching hot. The rest (service, ambiance) is way too lackluster and random to warrant a repeat visit.

We had a reservation on Saturday night for 4 people. It took a while to seat us. Waitress was a bit confused about where to seat us, even though all tables were empty. We ordered the Buratta salad, Caesar salad, eggplant parmigiana, lasagna, rigatoni carbonara and linguine pescatore. The salads were fine. The eggplant was dry and hard. The lasagna was mushy and overcooked. The seafood was OK except for the calamari, which was overcooked and rubbery. But the rigatoni was very good.
