The interior is rustic and unique. It's like something out of the 70's, and is very charming. We ordered breakfast and was not disappointed. The omelet I ordered was very large and very tasty. Pay the extra $.50 and get the homemade toast. Well worth it. I also ordered a single pancake and it was perfect. Overall, it was a great meal and the provided a great value. Will certainly visit again when visiting Wawa.
A very retro place the seems to be the meeting place in Downtown Wawa. The place is busy however the two waitresses never let our coffee cups empty and were quick to take our orders. The breakfast omelette was huge. I almost didn't finish it, almost. Good old time service and value.
When we entered this restaurant, we had to seat ourselves. There was one waitress running around looking frantic going from table to table. The gentleman seated across the aisle from us kept waiting and waiting for his coffee. No one came. There was only one waitress for this large restaurant when we arrived. A "bus woman" was clearing tables and she had an exasperated look on her face. When she passed me I said "hang in there" and her response was "I don't work here. I just know what it's like to be overwhelmed." It was very odd. After 20 minutes or so, another waitress walked through the door and started taking orders with ours being one of the first although we sent her over to the gentleman who had been waiting awhile. After taking our order, she went and returned with coffee. Then we waited some more. As we were waiting for our breakfast to arrive, a long line of people were waiting to pay. The first waitress was also the cashier. In between orders she would go and take payment from customers. She asked each person "What did you have?" then looked for an invoice for them. Eventually our breakfast arrived. I had requested scrambled eggs with hash browns and toast. My eggs were undercooked and the hash browns were not warmed enough (they were frozen and not fresh.) On the front door entering the restaurant, two signs were posted "Help Wanted, Cook" and "Help Wanted, Server." We will not return.
Excellent breakfast and or brunch. Very friendly and good old fashioned home cooking. Made from scratch and homemade white or wheat bread for toast
My wife and I visited here on 6/11/17. Not on the menu was 2 eggs, 2 pancakes and 2 (bacon, ham etc.) I ordered and was excellent - maybe they should add to the menu. Only 2 servers that were running to keep up - never got our 2nd cup of coffee.
