Wow !!! is the first thing that comes to mind after my 1st bite of the Pulled Pork from Browns in Wgkn. I've NEVER had Pulled Pork this amazing ever I've had it from Illinois to TN this by far is tops! It's so juicy tender on it's own without anyBBQ sauce. One of the best things about it is that it's NOT fatty there is no grizzle or tough dried out pieces other placesalways have this. It is by far the BEST Pulled Pork I've ever had I can't wait to go back for more. You have to try this!!
I visited this restaurant for the first time today and had an absolutely wonderful experience. I ordered the red beans and rice, which was the best I've ever had. The pork barbecue was flavorful and tender, but the portion size could have been a little more generous considering the price. I look forward to trying other dishes on the menu.
I am from Memphis, TN, known for its amazing barbecue, and I have to say that the BBQ at this restaurant is unmatched. It is the best I have ever had. The owner/manager was incredibly kind, even making sure we got our cornbread after we started to leave the parking lot. He also gave us a variety of sauces, each with their own unique and delicious recipe. My dad even called him "God's gift to Waukegan." The ribs at this restaurant smelled amazing. I could tell without even tasting them that someone knows how to barbecue - it's not just about the sauce, it's about the cooking method. However, I decided to try the catfish and it was also delicious, as were the fried cabbage and red beans and rice. The chefs here use high-quality ingredients and truly understand what real food is all about.
