The best Dim Sum in the area can be found at Cameron Chinese Seafood Restaurant in Kitchener. Avoid this place at all costs!
The service was non existent. I ordered the buffet. The plates were not collected off the table at any time. The food was not very hot. No water was brought to me. The food was just ok. There wasn’t a huge assortment but enough.
Jill my beautiful wife and I just made our first covid 19 buffet visit and the food and experience was fantastic. They offer a great selection of authentic and Canadian inspired dishes both one their menu and buffet for an excellent value. Please support this wonderful restaurant and give them a try buffet is just $12.50. They present you with a check the box for each dish offered on buffet and bring your selections to your table. It could not beer easier.
This restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat North American Chinese buffet with a wide variety of options. They have curry noodles, soy noodles, rice dishes, sue mai, and other meat dumplings. The hot and sour soup is delicious, as well as the sticky rice barbecue cooked in lotus leaf. Don't miss out on the deep-fried chicken wings and the meat and vegetable dishes.
Moved to the Waterloo Region from Markham Scarborough about 10 years ago, so we were spoiled with easily accessible and really good Chinese food. When we started missing Chinese food, we asked around for recommendations hoping to find a gem similar to any of the ones in the GTA. Was sadly unimpressed with taste and cost at each of the places that were recommended. We then found King Tin through a recommendation from a family friend, and we haven't looked back since. The new location is very clean and comfortable (parking can be a bit of a pain though, depending on time of day day of the week). The food they serve is delicious and consistently meets our expectations each and every time we have visited. We love the Chow Mein noodle dishes here. They also do an awesome Fried Fresh Squid with Spicy Salt dish, Fried Rice Young-Chow Style and Crab Meat with Sweet Corn Soup. We've recently fell in love with their Egg Plant with Garlic and Chili dish... all are absolutely delicious! Service is great; even on the rare occasion that we hadn't been impressed with a dish, we were kindly offered an alternate dish. Most times, we are also offered a little complimentary traditional Chinese dessert soups, which isn't like any of the desserts you may be used to, so it isn't everyone's cup of tea. Sometimes it's a hot sweet red-bean soup or hot coconut tapioca soup. You don't choose or ask for it, they'll just bring out whatever they happen to be cooking and ask if you'd like some, so it's a bit of a surprise at the end! Sure, this place has it's share of mixed reviews. But I, for one, have gone here long enough to know that it's not just your average Chinese restaurant. This is the real deal for some of the best Chinese food in the region, and a very underrated one at that.
