The Art Of Yum - Waterbury

What a disappointment. Showed up at 12:25 pm on a Sunday. Café seemed populated (4 tables occupied) but far from mobbed. Just one couple ahead of me in line. I ordered a cappuccino and an omelet. I asked for home fries and was informed that they were out. I asked if they could substitute grits and was informed that I’d be charged for a side dish, even though the home fries and grits are offered at the same price as a side dish on the menu. I asked for buttered whole wheat toast. I was informed it would take 20 minutes. I said ok and took a seat. My cappuccino didn’t arrive until 30 minutes later and (a) was not a cappuccino, it was a weak americano with milk, and (b) was served in a styrofoam takeout cup. There was no sugar so I had to go back to the counter to ask. No one was at the counter so I waited. Food arrived 50 minutes after ordering. The omelet and grits were lukewarm and undercooked. The bread was not buttered. They served it with a side of margarine. I had to request silverware and was handed a wrapped set of plasticware. One star may be too much.

Ordered through DoorDash and when I received my food everything was burnt and just didn’t taste good at all. You would think because of covid that the presentation for outside delivery would be on point by now but not here. It was my first time ordering here after being recommended and it will also be the last time I order food from here. Never been so disappointed in a food place. Maybe it’s the location of Waterbury where they just hire ppl who don’t take pride in the food they make. Not sure but if you want better business your food quality should be the top priority. When I called I spoke with a young manager who didn’t seem to care that the quality of the food was unsatisfying. Told me to get a refund from DoorDash. Which they don’t do a full refund often. So I will not be ordering from this place ever again. Good luck to anyone who thinks this place is good. You have a wake up call calling when you go outside of Waterbury.

Was thrilled to open it for lunch on Tuesday. Friendly staff tried the Korean shrimp tacos and chicken soup specials of the day and it was amazing! Perfectly diced with fresh vegetables and green. Tried a dessert lemon mochi that was amazing! Good selection of drinks including kombucha. The upper floor terrace deck was a beautiful place for lunch overlooking the green. Very recommended!

I had ordered lunch at the Southington location. It was great tasty and the food was made quickly. We did take out. This is the Chicken Tahini rice bowl.

The food was superb and I don't use this set loosely. I was glad to come here because the food felt at home. Great work and great staff.
