The short ribs were tender and flavorful, The green beans were fresh and vibrant green color and tasty. The mashed potatoes were good. My dessert the sundae brownie served w/ ice cream caramel and chocolate sauce atop a rich fudge brownie. See photos. The menu offers something for everyone. Fish and chips, burgers, salmon more. Great customer service.
Great vibe atmosphere Great music sound system location right off i-95 friendly, nice, helpful, efficient, staff local patrons flat screen tv's huge stone fireplace 123 varied, huge selection of beers on tap fabulous varied menu offerings I had a Trippel Belgian which was strong 8.4% but very good. I also tried the Smittynose Porter which was great but more of an Autumn beer IMHO Bc of the robust flavor. I settled on the MA/VT Microbrew Collaboration Pilsner which had a really nice floral bouquet. I ordered the Banh Mi I did not see that they put the Japanese White sauce on the sandwich. MY BAD. I love the traditional Banh Mi. It's a French Vietnamese Culinary Masterpiece IMHO. So I would highly encourage them to omit that or maybe put on the side Bc it was FABULOUS. But hey, that my .02 it's not my Kitchen. My Server was Fabulous too. She did an outstanding job. Brian, the Mgr stopped by made a really genuine personal effort to check on my food drink. That's always hugely impressive. Overall, this place is really a GREAT find. WELL DONE. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED :
I have been coming to Doherty's for a while but have always struggled with how to review it. They have a great and diverse food menu with unique flavors and choices and this includes their weekend brunch. I am a big fan of the cobb salad, it is one of the best around. They also have one of the largest draft selections in the state. Along with this they have a knowledge waitstaff, and the layout is great to watch sporting events or get together with larger groups. I like the food, beer selection, and the atmosphere of the space but what keeps this from being a higher review is the prices. I feel many of the things are very overpriced. For example many of their beers are sometimes $1 or $2 higher than many other restaurants and their glasses are not a full 16ozs pour on top of that. And then one of my biggest restaurant pet peeves is if you order more of a dipping sauce, they charge you for it and when their prices are already high it rubs me the wrong way. It is in a central location for my friends and I and we would come here a lot more because it really is a great space but it is very cost restrictive to come here more than once every couple of months when you are looking to grab drinks with friends.
Surprisingly good bar food and a great selection of local craft beer! The chicken pot pie is fantastic, as is the black bean burger. The atmosphere and interior of the pub are not much to speak of, but it's definitely worth a visit. Also, there's a neat cemetery from the 1800s right behind the restaurant that is worth a look.
We use to go to Dohertys in Pawtucket all of the time! We haven't been there in years and knew that one had been opened in Warwick, but never took the time to seek it out. Before having to pick up the hubby's aunt from the airport, we decided to give Dohertys a try.... again. I've been wanting a good burger and in the process, have had some pretty mediocre ones. I was hesitant to order a burger here because I didn't want the same thing to happen, but I pulled the trigger and ordered it, with a side of slaw! I didn't get fries! That was a first. The burger was delicious. It had bacon jam and i of course added bacon for extra texture. It was juicy and tasty, and I think I found the burger I've been chasing for a few weeks now. The hubby was super excited to see jambalaya on the menu. For some odd reason, he too had been searching for jambalaya. He skipped the shrimp. The jambalaya was also delicious. The sausage took it to another level! So glad we decided to stop in!
