I honestly cannot believe that the so-called good reviews on this site. We booked a month ago on balance of customer experiences. Unfortunately, this does not match the food or services we have experienced this evening. for 7 watches. the restaurant was well lit, but empty. where others were busy. the only customers were a few that with the “sty” of the bar we approached the back of the restaurant and were greeted by a dame that seemed surprised that customers came. we said we had booked for 19 o'clock, but were a few minutes later, before we were shown by a rather cozy back room surface. we got menus and asked what we would drink. when the only ones in us asked if they were later busy and were told about the waitress they did not know because they had not yet seen the bookings. when using the menus, we quickly realized that the menu was greatly reduced by the online menu examples. we were told that this was because so many people kept and do not arrive that they cost them for food waste, so that it had been reduced. during the reflexion we would have made a decision, then to go and look at another place, but the dame that served seemed pleasant and told us about 13 years a bit the history of restaurants so that we held them and ordered them. this could take a past; Fish-Platter-Starter, a flash back from the 80s covered with cocktail sauce, a huge part, but all tasted the same. fresh whiskers marinate large pieces of tweezers and much too much to see, but ok. served with soggy baked baguette. the most important courses would have been very good if the nicely cooked lamb frames were not served on a steinkälte with cold in the middle dauphinoise carrots, which were clearly frozen baby carrots. the stem broccoli was nicely cooked. I had to go and find a waitress to show the problems, and although she offered to replace it, we agreed to have only some fresh hot potatoes. as compensation we received another bottle of house wine. However, the start was ruined by the experience and almost cold food through the time the extra potatoes arrived, which were not really much hotter than the previous ones. who says this day, we don't use hot plates if someone can burn their finger. we had desserts and coffee and they still have a service charge of £15. not worth the £150 we paid. do not let me start on the toilet decoration or cleanliness a very positive point was really good coffee unfortunately this place will not be there in another 12 months time or will be new or sold. I hope I'm wrong. but don't risk it now!
My starter included soggy salat leaves, a few baby filled paprika (I bought better in the super market,) some pieces under mature melone and all drowned in a balsamic vinegar dressing. it wasn't that bad I was complaining, but it wasn't exactly a pleasure. to eat! one of my friends said that the suppe was not hot enough, but others seemed satisfied with their decisions. for the main course I had dug a l’orange, which was perfect, but nothing special to justify the price. the service was more Joe’s cafe than the top restaurant and the staff seemed to serve us as soon as possible and get out. I'm not going back.
Eat was good, steaks were perfect, fish was good, chips could have been better, cheese excellent but cracker were stale. menu was limited, only 5 net
Lovely menu, delicious food and excellent service. We very much enjoyed our visit, wished we stayed longer so we could have come again
