I was craving fried fish and this place definitely satisfied my taste buds. It was fresh and fried to perfection and it was accompanied with a super delicious mango salad, spicy, sweet and tangy. Grilled squid was cleaned and cooked just right so it was not chewy at all. My partner’s favourite was the green curry, it was too spicy for him but it was so good he couldn’t stop eating. The view of the ocean was great.

Romantic dinner by the beach. In general, the Samui Thai food was more delicious than the European ones. The former were more authentic. The curry crab meat and fried vegetables with egg were more outstanding among the others. The tuna was nice too.

Happy Elephant has a great location and view situated right on the water with plenty of tables next to the ocean. Very friendly and efficient staff. Always tasty food, no complaints. This is one of my favourite places at Fishermans

The food is expensive and very average. You’re basically paying for the beach front location. Right outside of the restaurant, there is a food stand that sells mango sticky rice and mango smoothies. That store is affiliated with this restaurant and is very very good. Came twice for their mango sticky rice and mango smoothie without sugar!

Second visit to Fisherman's Village in a week, another night market, but this time we wanted to sample some different food options. We came across the Happy Elephant and it was a good choice. Had the option to sit outside but due to the weather we made the right choice and chose an inside table. The menus are massive, like old style books. Plenty of food choices, Thai, seafood, meat, veg and pasta, children are catered for too. The staff were very good and helpful and super nice . The bill for 4 people with a drink each was under 4000Bah with a tip. No service charge was added. Payment by card and cash.
