Cava - Virginia Beach

The sauces and hummus offered at this restaurant are amazing. Anyone who has tried store-bought hummus will notice the superior quality here. Cava offers unlimited toppings (excluding avocado) such as double salad, double quinoa or cauliflower tabbouleh, etc. The price for the amount of food you get is reasonable. However, I found that the quality of the roasted vegetables and potatoes was lacking. They were not cooked evenly and lacked flavor and texture that good roasted vegetables should have. It reminded me of my early attempts at cooking vegetables at home. The falafel also seemed tasteless to me, although this may not be noticeable if you plan to load up on toppings.

The sauces and hummus at this restaurant are exceptional. The quality of the in-house hummus far surpasses the packaged versions at the grocery store. CAVA offers unlimited toppings, excluding avocado, so doubling up on lettuce, quinoa, or cauliflower tabbouleh provides a reasonable price per volume of food. Unfortunately, the roast vegetables and potatoes at this location are lacking in flavor and texture, similar to a homemade sheet pan meal gone wrong. The falafel was also found to be bland, unless paired with heavy dipping sauces.

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. The process was simple and easy, and the food was delicious. Despite the nasty weather last week, I chose curbside pick up and the young man who brought out my order was very kind. Thank you for providing a great first-time experience.

I enjoyed the fresh and delicious food at this restaurant. There were many great choices on the menu. The variety of drinks available was also impressive.
