The three of us had the Spoons Toast (which was even crumbed), small Schnitzel and...potato soup respectively. All the food was amazing. You have to see the pictures to believe it, but the Schnitzel was rather big for a small one and the toast was just sublime nothing I'd ever seen before and even served with a salad. The prices were ever so reasonable, too. If you're going to the Donauturm, don't bother eating up the top; come here instead as it's so much better for so much less!
Actually we live near and were a few times; service was pleasant and the drinks are just good. it is a beautiful place where my wife had an excellent ice cream sundae
I was visting Wien with a friend and after being on the top of Donauturm, we fancy an ice cream. we went to this place which had ice cream on their menu. The waiter came, without saying hello or anything like it, wanted us to order a drink: I explained that we just wanted an ice cream and he did not like my answer as he kept asking for our drink order, before finally take the order we wanted.he came back 15 min laters and just left the ice cream on the tray without saying a word.when we asked for the bill, another waiter came and, what a surprise, it was a lot more expensive than in a menu. I was very chocked and asked him why. he just said that we had to pay, and we had to argue to make him admitting his mistake.I suppose I was stupid to assum that what is on a menu it is actually what you are suppose to get. The ice cream was fine but the waiters are so rude I would certainly not recommande this place
We went there a couple of times during the past 2 years. Service is nice and speaks English, lunch menu was nice especially the fish one. But do not expect any cuisine art, it is not a place to go for fancy dinner. Outside garden is very pleasant especially during hot summer days.
Came in to this attractive (interior) restaurant to thaw out after visiting the Danube Tower on a cold, windy day. Prompt friendly service, plenty of choice on menu and comfortable seating. We had tea, coffee and pancakes. All very good and excellent value for money.
