Opa - Victoria

I have had some great calamari at the OPA at Mayfair. At Hillside, however, whenever I have had the calamari over the last year or so, each time it is painfully inedible. Since I've had to endure this repeatedly I asked the cook and the server-cashier if the calamari is fresh. I asked in front of numerous other customers who were ordering various other items, which looked fresh, such as the bread, the grilling meat, and the salad. I asked very specifically about the calamari and I was reassured by these people that the calamari is fresh. When I bit into my calamari it was freezer burnt. You know what that looks like, tastes like, and feels like. It is rock hard and impossible to bite into. And the batter fell off as they it had been hit with a hammer. The calamari was previously fried and then frozen, and probably lay in the freezer improperly covered; then when the order came in, they simply toss it into some frying oil to reheat. I complained and they tried to shame me by telling me:"no one but you has ever complained". I was furious that they had lied to me - shamelessly lied. I wish there was some way to shut these people down; it is so upsetting to see them selling old freezer-burnt food, barely reheated old food, to people like me who are paying about $10 for what amounts to be garbage.

Not only do I like the relatively healthy "fast food" option of OPA but I have never been to a fast food place that can top the service at the OPA location in Mayfair mall. They are fast, friendly and fun to a degree that you want to come back over and over again. If anyone has taken the "Fish" customer service program... the team at Mayfair mall could teach that and more. Thanx for the good food and great service!!!

Had lunch while visiting on business here. I had the chicken souvlaki platter and thought it was good value for the money. I tried a few other things in the same food court and Opa was my favourite for taste and service.The service was fast and everyone was friendly, smiled, and said hello. Would recommend for lunch if you are in the food court! Lineup was long but moved fast.

It's always a pleasure to be treated well and this is by far one of the best fast food experiences we've ever had. There was a line up when we arrived, but they kept it moving in a friendly, efficient manner and all the staff were happy and smiling and engaging well with the customers. Not something you experience that often from fast food places. We ate at the Mayfair location.

Love this fast, fresh Greek food. Whenever I'm in Hillside Mall, I stop for the Greek platter with chicken skewers. They have a no-carb platter, too, if you're watching your weight. Great value for the money, great service.
