Jack's Place - Victoria

Great food for an ok price the pastas, pizzas, and most of everything on the menu is really good. Great service and great atmosphere good place to watch sports and get some great food for an ok price.

Disappointed and still hungry after ordering a battered halibut with extra pickles. Substituted fries for a house salad. It was funny when I picked up the box and commented that it was so light. After walking back to the hotel I was staying at, I opened the box and found the salad with one piece of halibut. I was expecting a burger with a piece of battered halibut. They forgot the burger buns and the extra pickles. I would have complained but I was too tired and hungry to walk back to the restaurant. That's pretty bad. Waited a long time for my meal and they still screwed it up.

Service was great. Our server was so sweet and always there when we needed her. Unfortunately the food was the worse food we had eaten in a long time. Pretty much did not touch a single thing except for a few nacho chips. They seem to have a lot of food but can't seem to nail down any of them. The bartender also was not very experienced. The martini was quite bad. Probably a great place to drink beer and watch games but thats about it.

We always enjoy coming up to Bear Mountain. Came here with our kids the other night and had a great meal. Everyone was happy. The staff were great, food tasty and a great atmosphere!

Icky. I ate at Jacks Place twice during a brief stay at Fairways Hotel on the mountain. Both times something gross happened. The first night I ordered a martini and the olives were spoiled. They took the drink off my bill, which was appreciated. The food was fine although the “spicy” noodle bowl was bland. A couple days later I had lunch (fish and chips) and the malt vinegar they brought was disgusting and sticky on the outside of the bottle with flies crawling up the inside. Some of the chips were still frozen. Before we left I went to the restroom and of course wanted to wash my hands-no soap, no paper towels. In summary, this place is gross.
