Przekaż informację zwrotnąI'd return to this cafe to have a meal even if I had no reason to be on campus at Royal Roads. I had the pear and pecan salad (lots of both) and it was delicious and priced right. My companions enjoyed wraps and fries - they also liked their meals. Our service was good - we didn't wait a long time for our food. (It was a Saturday so no doubt that was a factor) and the place doesn't feel like a campus beanery. You can get an adult beverage here! (wow) Another pleasant surprise - the tables and chairs aren't "industrial strength tubular steal, we don't trust the students" - they are pleasant wooden furnishings in a wonderful old building with wooden floors and high ceilings and nice big windows. If you are going I suggest you drive to ocean-side parking ($1/hour but your car will have an amazing view of the ocean) while you stroll the grounds of Hatley Castle or out onto the waterfront - then repair to this cafe for lunch. The gardens are a treat. The area is well maintained. Just totally surprised me. Kudos to the team at Habitat!
We stopped in here for lunch on a Saturday because it was convenient to Hatley Castle where we toured the gardens. It is located in one of the buildings on the Royal Road University campus just adjacent to the Castle. Selection was limited with mostly pre-wrapped, chilled sandwiches and wraps plus some pastries. The turkey sandwich was ok but my friend’s wrap was excellent. We were told the lunch choices during the week include hot items and a soup and pizza bar, food is prepared on-site and fresh. They also serve alcohol which we thought was interesting. Seating is cafeteria style with large tables and bar style against the window. There’s also a microwave if you have your own food. Seemed somewhat expensive to me for a cafeteria.
Smiling staff, great service, and delicious food. Healthy options available and steps up from usual institution food!
This a great place to hang out and grab a bite to eatYes it is expensive.
What a sweet super busy place that is. Plenty of ambience in a historic building. This place is very busy at noon due to the student population, but the food is definitely worth. Excellent all the way!
