We stayed in this structure at the turn of August, what can I say !? All wonderful, starting from breakfast delighted by Mrs. Silvana's cakes and pastries, something indescribable, never seen such quality and authenticity in a hotel. The Il Melograno restaurant, which is located inside, is very good, the raw material determines the success of the final dish. The room staff qualified and kind. I recommend staying at the Santa Domitilla for all the undecided. Do not hesitate. We spent 6 nights at the hotel at the end of July, spending about 1500 euros for the room with breakfast for two people. Positive things: 1) quality and professionalism of people 2) spa Negative things: 1) room (however, there are other better accommodations in the same structure at much higher prices) 2) breakfast (always the same and with little quality) Structure: The location, while central and close to both the port and all services, is nothing special, no panorama to be clear. The common areas are beautiful and well kept. The restaurant offers a very varied cuisine, although the dishes are expensive as is the offer in the bar, for no obvious reason other than the fact that it is a 4-star hotel. We would have appreciated a greater proactivity in offering external services in agreement (scooter and boat rental), bearing in mind that generally all those who experience the beauties of the island, from hotels, to restaurants, to the most disparate service providers, tend to have unjustified prices and this way of doing annoys, bearing in mind that the island still has mass tourism. Attendance: The island in general is frequented by day tourists and many young people in their twenties. Unfortunately, the hotel also allows access to the pools and spa from outside, although the staff try to make it as less impactful as possible on the experience of their staying guests. Our experience with this structure was very positive, nothing to say. Very kind and helpful from reception to breakfast and sometimes lunch as they are always around the sea and the town. Overpriced and zero service We were very disappointed with our one week stay at this hotel. The hotel is beautiful, very well located, the garden and the decoration are very good. These are the only positives! We paid €310 night and it was absolutely not worth it. The room is very small The shower works badly (hose of very poor quality Tiny balcony, no chair Very noisy and poorly soundproofed room On the website there is a Beach Club page, located on the Frontone beach. This is misleading content, the hotel has no beach, we had to pay 60 € day for 2 deckchairs and an umbrella as well as the boat to go there (14 € day for 2 people . That's 74 € more day !! Totally disorganized breakfast service, not enough space, the tables are dirty, the waiters come when you have finished asking if you want a coffee Restaurant without more No communication from reception, lots of staff, but no information, it's very administrative, not a kind word, not advice on where to go, places to visit, they are there to charge.
