Still looking for seafood of the quality we enjoyed in Tampico, we visited Bar Gandara restaurant in an afternoon. The host was vivacious and charming, but unfortunately she was not a Harbinger of things to come. The waiter behaved as if he had been interrupted by his afternoon sieves. My wife ordered a popular dish in Campeche, Pan de Cazon. Basically, it is shark meat with tortillas and black beans. I ordered Sopa de Mariscos, seafood stew famous in the coast of Mexico. I also had a green salad that was fresh and delicious. When the Pan de Cazon was brought to our table, my wife became amazed and somewhat confused because she was pollinated with plenty of cream and cheese. She asked that the strange supplement be removed while I focused on my seafood soup. It was Bland not to smile about much less praise. In the meantime, the cheeky shark court was returned, but the thrill was gone. The waiter never returned until we demanded the check, and his demeanor was quite uninvited. I doubt that we will ever return, but we will continue our search for a restaurant with good seafood and good service.

Lugar de tradicion culinaria, excelentes platillos, buenos mariscos lugar de visita obligada, servicio no muy bueno pero aceptable con reservas

A mi gusto es mucho mejor que el otro restaurante de mucho renombre. Se trata de una casa magníficamente habilitada para restaurante. Existe privacidad, no es un galerón. El servicio es bueno, pero la cocina es excelente.
