Zocalo Modern Cantina - Vancouver

I was eager to try out this restaurant, but my first reservation was cancelled due to a private event. I decided to give them another chance, but unfortunately, the food was mediocre and too salty. We asked the server for their best recommendations and ordered sopitos, ROLLITOS DE CAMARON, and LENGUA DE RES EN SALSA DE CHAMPIÑONES. The server didn't inquire about our satisfaction with the food, which I found strange. In contrast, I had a great experience at Cuchillo for Mexican tapas. The service, atmosphere, and food selection were all fantastic.

The food was delicious! The happy hour special was fantastic, and the service was excellent. It really felt like we were transported back to Oaxaca, Mexico.

I am thrilled to have found a wonderful Latin cuisine restaurant that is both casual and delicious!

Good drinks! They give you a free appetizer at the start of the meal, which is nice. We ordered the Guac w/ chips, empanadas, skewers and the hot beef w/ cheese bowl. Food was OK, but nothing really stuck out.
