Extra-Gir fries, what a bit of us two paid $70 for a ten dollar meal the bark was nowhere to find unnecessary to say, we will never again she again, what a dissapointmeng so sad.
After the last 9 years in this pub something has changed. either new management or absent management. the staff was much more friendly and eating was much better. the quality has suffered greatly in both departments. at the moment only very poor. I hope it improves as I used to be friends about what was good. a shame.
This is a great place in false creek south and was an institution as stamps landing pub on the day. as wicklow it seems to have some problems with the staff and eating was hit or miss. it's still nice. a summer day with a great upper terrace. today was a miss! I ordered a 9 ounce glass wee $12 on the QR menu. at the end of the meal was the wee $13,75 plus tax. not much, but the point is. I asked the server and she said I bought the 9-oct glass. so I pulled up the menu and sure enough $12. I showed her and she said we had to change that. I am constantly amazed that a certain age demographic seems to think that everyone is annoying and never their problem. a ball would have been nice! it really pampers what a nice casual outing should have been and made me feel as if I were annoying. I'm sorry I tipped her. I will wait a few months before I return until the personal would have changed and the menu might be updated.
Great casual mood, good view, delicious pub food and friendly staff. at stamps landing near the false creek seawall.
Once known as Stamp's Landing Pub this iconic spot has had a loyal following since Expo 86. Since it became the Wicklow the menu has changed perhaps striving for new clientele however the daytime traffic has not been the same and the menu continues to...become more challenging for those seeking pub food'. Their coconut/almond chicken tenders are over coated creating a dry dusty offering. Just recently they have decided to change the caesar salad to a kale caesar. To a caesar fan this is just wrong don't call it a caesar salad then it's a kale salad. Do I sound bitter I'm just disappointed that a spot that I've been frequenting for over 25 years is slowly changing it's menu way from all things pub friendly. The serving staff seems to change over regularly as well. Having said that, the weekend brunches seem popular. For me however, it's too much spice in everything, my choices are limited and this is no longer one of my most favourite'. Disappointed.
