We rented the restaurant for a wedding on July 22 with 55 guests. The patio was a beautiful place for the ceremony. The appies served by staff while the pics were being taken afterwards were tasty. Dinner was lovely (they offered 3 options that guests chose beforehand so the kitchen could keep up). Transitioning to a dance floor around 9pm was smooth, as was the set-up of the dessert table and flatbread bar later in the evening. Super spot. Great staff. Wonderful wedding.
I had purchased a Groupon for this restaurant which featured a brunch with bottomless mimosas at a discounted rate. The location was perfect - situated right on the water in Sunset Beach, with a view of Granville Island directly across the water. However, we did not have an opportunity to enjoy this view, since we received the worst seat in the house... stuffed in the VERY back of the restaurant, next to the kitchen entrance/ bathroom/ cash register/ back table where the staff roll cutlery and do paperwork. We were seated quite promptly and told that we would need to order quickly since their brunch service was ending. Five minutes later, we placed our orders and proceeded to wait... and wait. In the meantime, we were trying to make the most of our Sunday afternoon and enjoy the mimosas and the ambiance. It was hard to do so when the owner was literally sitting half a foot next to me in the booth, counting cash, making phone calls, being quite intrusive, etc. The entire staff was scurrying to switch over the whole dining room for dinner, and we felt like an unwanted presence the whole time. On top of that, they ran out of orange juice, and we had to wait on our mimosas (though, not long). After about half an hour of waiting, we flagged down one of the servers to ask her about the status of our meal, and she said "Ummm... I'm sure it'll be coming out soon" and turned around to start chit chatting with one of the other servers. I mean, how hard would it have been to walk 5 steps into the kitchen, ask a question, and return back to us with a simple report of "Your meal will be out in just 5 minutes". It was 40-45 minutes until we actually received our meals and we were starving. We ordered the vegetarian eggs benny (which supposedly included grilled tomatoes, brie and avocado) with a side of potatoes. It was delicious, however, there was no avocado in the benny (which is an integral part), and I bit into a huge chunk of egg shell. I don't know about you, but I have eaten eggs at MANY establishments throughout my life and never had egg shell show up on my plate. We also ordered the French toast - again, this was delicious, but the toast was supposed to be topped with bananas, almonds and whipped cream - not a banana in sight. One of the managers was serving us, and he was attentive and kind. The location and view are magical and the food seemed like it had the potential to be good. It was an extremely disappointing experience for my dining companion and I, and I hope these guys get their act together. I work in the service/ F&B industry, so I can certainly overlook certain issues that happen when dining out, but when there are too many to ignore, it just spoils the whole meal and leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
We had a coupon for 4 entrees & 4 endless mimosas we had to use. What a deal! And we had one of our best brunches ever! Our resers were for 11 am for 5 ppl and we only had to wait 5 mins. Packed restaurant, inside and out, since it was a beautiful sunny day. Fabulous view outside but we sat inside. Service was great. The servers were constantly refilling our glasses with either water or mimosas. They made literally jugs of mimosas w/OJ or w/grapefruit juice and kept refilling everyone's wineglass at every pass they did. Pleased to note they took away the finished plates quickly too. Our entrees were simply delish! Ordered veggie egg bennies (so divine!) French toast (still bit "eggy"inside, my fav kind!) & veggie omelette. The veggie egg bennies was voted "no 1 best" by all of us and surprisingly too since we are all meat lovers! A pasta dish was also ordered but nothing out of the ordinary. Just order their breakfast items. Can't go wrong. Good sized portions including pieces of fruit & fried breakfast potatoes. Helps also with the "endless" refills of mimosas! This restaurant really does its best to keep their patrons happy w/their service & food, and we were certainly happy campers afterwards. Lucky we walked home after downing all those mimosas! Alcohol content of course was not high since there is so much dilution in the jugs of juice. Still tasted delightful! Please try out Ten Ten Tapas for brunch yourself. I know I'll be coming back again & again.
Not a bad place at all but i was really hoping for more. We have an excellent spanish resto at home that does tapas and we were hoping to discover an equivalent...we didnt. Plus i should have known what the deal was when they made me a suspect old fashioned.
