Novo Pizzeria & Wine Bar - Vancouver

We went for happy hour and arrived at 3pm. Service was very slow initially. It could have been because the patio seemed to all be paying but the inside clients were ignored for a while. After the first round the server went missing again but eventually did reappear and food was ordered and after that we had good service. So maybe it was a timing issue. Just be prepared!

Marius and his team once again made my son in law's birthday celebration an affair to remember! The service, the food and the wine pairing suggestions were spot on! This restaurant is a gem in Kitsilano.

We went during happy hours. The food and severe was great.

This was my second time here, and it was a bit disappointing. I hyped it up to my friend, but we were a bit let down. It was super loud, and although the food looked delicious, the pasta was unfortunately very undercooked, the pizza was very soggy and the salad presentation wasn't very great (and my friend is a restaurant manager as well so it was obvious that the food was not quality checked before it went out to us). The service was good but sloppy — other than the food, the waitress spilled water all over our table because she turned around while pouring the water, didn't notice she spilled everywhere and just walked away. When another waitress came by, it was obvious she noticed the spilled water all over our table but she just put our food on top of it and didn't bother to wipe it up. Our waiter was very kind and apologetic but at that point, it was just words. They were kind enough to take the pasta off of our bill, but the salad and pizza that we did pay for, felt very overpriced for the quality and experience. I'm not sure if we came on a Monday and their service was off, but we definitely expected more being that the restaurant wasn't anywhere near max capacity. I would love to come back for another try as my first experience was great, but after this experience, I don't think Novo will be our go-to if we're craving Italian food.
