The food was great, the staff was attentive without being over the top and I loved watching the other diners who enjoy their food and interact. Very recommended.
We live close by this restaurant and were so happy to see a real quality Chinese restaurant come into the mix right by the sea wall. What a lovely surprise when we walked in, to see the beautiful decor and detail of this Beijing style restaurant. The food is excellent some items expensive but other choices for lunch or dinner quite reasonable and such high quality. The grilled shrimp is amazing. We've noticed they are getting busy, the word is getting out. There is parking in a covered garage at 1000 Beach.
I was introduced to this stunning restaurant by dear friends. The tastefully appointed Chinese antiques decor, a view of the water, an extensive choice of well prepared dishes, terrific service and great company all came together to provide a memorable experience. Often Chinese cuisine can be tasty but it rarely comes together with good service and a beautiful environment. All of the flavours of each dish were distinct but not over whelming. There are many dishes available for vegetarians that looked to be prepared with the same detail. Na Jia has it all.
I booked a party from 4 on Opentable the day before. At 9:30 a.m. they cancelled our reservation without explanation, no alternative solution and no excuse. Don't make plans in this restaurant.
It was a total disaster for our lunch experience, as we heard so much hype about this authentic Chinese restaurant. The decoration is very Chinese and reminds you of imperial China, unique in North America. The menu book is also beautifully printed on traditional Chinese booklet with excellent photo recordings associated with each article. The good things remained here because the food was overpriced and of poor quality. The server asked us to order the Beijing duck that was at $88 per order, and he seemed angry that we told him repeatedly that we had no time for this court. We ordered the Seasam Spinat that came out about 2 minutes after our order because we were sure this dish was prefabricated and was cooled for a while as it was cold when it was served. The next 2 courses were House Special Tofu with Seetang and Fried Egg Bun Slices, both of which were fried, as we could say from the soft texture of the outer skin and lukewarm inside. The duck was Beijing Fried Pork Liver In Soy Bean Paste, it was okay, but too saucy, and liver should be cheap, but overpriced at $19.98. The last dish was the best Noble Crispy Prawns, as this was freshly fried, but at $29.98. The bill came out to $125 for lunch for 3 people, very expensive for Chinese restaurant with ordinary food order. The worst nightmare was that all three of us had **** stomach, vomiting and even diarrhea this evening. Don't go back there and recommend no one to go.
