Bamboo Restaurant - Ushuaia

We were looking for something casual and unpretentious and that’s what we found. It appears Chinese and indeed it is but with a twist! They specialize in a roasted lamb station cooked over an open fire. Absolutely delicious and an all you can eat buffet...that is very affordable. Home cooked with a good selection.

Had a nice family style dinner after our cruse to Antarctica. Everyone was looking to step on shore to have some local Chinese cooking. The stirred fried king crab with ginger and green union was delicious. You should not miss. We also enjoyed the BBQ...lamb and beef as well as some more every-day cooking paired with local beer Beagle. The service was good and we all had a great time.

Good buffet selection, went there out of nights, you’ll definitely find something you like! Can do buffet or pay by weight. Service with a smile from our waiter as well!

We went to Ushuaia looking for a local restaurant but we ended up eating on where everyone else is eating! They offered various cuisines and what we liked about is the grilled meat that when you eat it, it melts in your mouth (not literally...of course). Though selections are not that much like a typical buffet, most of it are tasty! I feel like I am in my home country while eating their food. It’s a bit far on their main street but you won’t miss it as I have said, follow the asian people from cruise ship and you will find yourself in Restaurant Bamboo.

We stop by the town for lunch after visit Tierra Del Fuego National Park. This restaurant was been recommended by cruise friends. the only reason we're here was to try the king crab. the most famous seafood in Ushuaia. The king crab shipment was arriving...when we sit down, we witness how they transfer the live crab from the huge container to the water tank. the owner of the restaurant was trying to pick the larger crabs. we sat right next to the tank, therefore we had chance to ask for the bigger ones. the owner was nice enough to let us choose it. the crab was so fresh, the meat was tender, taste delicious.price was cheap compared to California, US of us shared a crab, good enough, the crab weighted lbs) we also order a dish of grilled lamb to try, also delicious. We were happy that we'd try this place. our best memory for the patagonia food.
