I had to wait for 5 minutes in front of the cashier while he played on his phone before acknowledging me and taking my order. The female staff did smile and greet me, but did not make an effort to serve. The coffee was disappointing, and the burgers were average. I would recommend going to Badgers instead. The desserts, a vanilla slice and a passionfruit cheesecake, both lacked flavor and were unimpressive. The vanilla slice was too firm, possibly due to excessive gelatin. If you are looking for a retro 50's atmosphere, this place is worth a visit. The milkshake creations looked appealing, but we did not try them. Overall, do not expect good food or drinks and be prepared for extremely poor customer service. The restaurant is also noisy, making it less than ideal for conversation.
Touch of the 50's. Hot dogs, burgers and shakes. Jute box playing the memories in the back ground with memoriblities on the Walls. Staff friending and the food good. A fun type of cafe.
I had breakfast at this restaurant before heading out of Hervey Bay. If for nothing else, stop in for a coffee and take in the decor. The restaurant has a diner-style setting with memorabilia from the fifties, like James Dean, Route 66, and Elvis, displayed on the walls. I ordered the Elvis omelette and was amazed at how large it was. It was the biggest omelette I have ever seen in my life.
Found this cafe to be wonderfully nostalgic with the retro feel down to the menu and settings. Love the couch as you came in the door, very Grease appeal.
