The Bishops Arms Uppsala

The close relatives from abroad were at the Elite Hotel, the last week of August 2018. You treated us for dinner at The Bishop Arms Pub. The staff is friendly, attentive and helpful. The entrecote steak I ordered was well presented, warm, delicate, very tasty served with some vegetables fried potato chips. The service was fast. Prices appropriate. Very recommended.

Pros: stays late open compared to most places in Uppsala, tempting beverage menu, large and filling portion sizes Negative: can't get leftovers packed, very few veggie options (which a burger is pretty good though) But the main reason why we will never forget that our visit to The Bishops Arms is that my fellow countryman meets his head on one of the lamps while standing up, and it immediately disassembles and broke the glass around the lamp, that is the staff was very friendly to clean it! Both the fish and the chips, as well as the Veggie Burger were delicious and very full (exercise to finish) The dessert we tried was homemade cheese with fig maralade and candied nuts; the cheese was so, but the rest was very good!

Cozy place, especially when they have pubquiz on mondays with nice prizes! The food is not super remarkable though.
