When my partner attempted to address the mix-up, the owner yelled at him, insisting that they couldn't afford to let customers wait. He even claimed that we were in the wrong and implied that we had cost him money. Instead of apologizing for their mistake, he repeatedly blamed us for the situation. We even suggested that the woman who incorrectly took our order should be informed, as she was there at the time, but they dismissed our request as unnecessary. When the owner was on the phone, he scolded us for asking about it and lied about the timeline, stating she had ordered long before us, even though that was not the case. Most businesses would consider offering compensation for their errors, but when we pointed out that it would cost nothing to double-check future orders to prevent similar issues, we were met with hostility rather than accountability. It's disappointing to see how this business has changed since we first came here; it's sad to lose a loyal customer over such poor service. When my partner reminded the owner that "the customer is always right," the owner simply replied that he would call us if he needed business advice and hung up. I genuinely hope he receives the help he needs, as treating customers as if they are the problem will not lead to a favorable outcome for the business.
