To say the least it was tasty! I'd definitely stop by again to try some of their other items and of course to grab a beer at Birdhaus. The beer selection was nice and varied. Worth a visit!
Food was okay, but the wait for it was ridiculous! We had to wait over 40min for our food. It’s definitely a nice spot to bring your pup to. Not sure I will be returning.
Delicious food, the menu was relatively small but a lot of stuff sounded good, and I appreciated that there were both appetizers/sides and entrees and vegan options too, so it felt like everyone could get just what they wanted. They have some classic offerings but it felt like each item had a little twist to it--for example, the loco moco had adobo style gravy and came with pickles, and the chili fries had furikake. All was super tasty! Drinks were just bottled water and soda cans. The wait time felt a bit long but it was fine for friends coming to spend time and chat.It was a cute small spot! I love the vibe in there, mom and pop type of decor with a clear Hawaiian/Filipino vibe. When I first came in (early evening on a Saturday) there was a bit of a line and not a lot of space for people to stand around, they could probably use more space! They only have two tables inside but there's some outdoor seating, it was just a cold day. Thankfully my friends and I were able to spend some quality time there and the staff were nice and helpful too.Vegetarian options: They have vegan options and they sounded good! Mainly tofu and jackfruit. They're prominent on the menu.Parking: There's limited street parking. Takes a little luck or patience!
Got the spicy crab fries. Pretty tasty and love all the ingredients! I sat out back and it was pretty empty on a Thursday around noon. It was really nice enjoying the sun during lunch.Really lovely outdoor spot with games, nice benches, chill music and decor. Good place for a work meeting/lunch, date, large group gathering, team happy hour or even to work out of if it’s not too busy.Wonderful space in union city. Hope it stays around awhile! I feel like you only find these spaces in SF/oakland/San Jose where all the tech workers live.
My first time ordering foo from them, and I enjoyed every bite. I ordered the mochicko chicken. Everything in the plate was delicious. From the kale salad, mac salad, and the main part. I'm not a huge fan of kale, but if I can get the dressing that is on it I will definitely eat it. There salad is mac salad you either like it or you don't. I, in fact love mac salad. Mac salad is really difficult to get wrong. The mochicko chicken.... reminds of this old restaurant in the big island that serve it. Crunchy on the outside, moist inside. The sauce is amazing as well. It's not overpowering the flavor of the chicken. It gives a nice sweet balance to the dish. The chili rice bowl definitely hits home. I took a bite from it, and it sent me back to my middle school days! Although I order take out. The staff were attentive, very warm, and cool as hell. For as may years as I've been in F&B, service is most important. Without great service, you can lose return customers. Even though they are only open a set amount of days. I highly recommend the lone crow. Next time I come around, I will be sure to dine in. Other than that. My only, very minor gripe is.... I NEED MORE RICE!!! JK. Coming from Guam I'm used to having just a bit more rice to meat ratio. But we are in Cali so it was enough for me. ?????? I will come more often now that I've had a couple dishes from you.
