Mama's Southern Style Bbq Ii - Union

A few years ago I stopped in this restaurant. I heard the food was good so I decided to try it. I ordered beef short ribs and chicken. When I got the food, I drove away, I started to eat while I drove. I had a piece of chicken( delicious) then, I reached for the ribs. I noticed that is was pork ribs instead of beef ribs brought the food back. The young man looked in the container and said to me..well we ain't got no more ribs but ilill put the chicken and food in another container. He proceeded to tell me rhat I can't give you no more chicken cuz you ate off of a piece already my eyes and mouth was wide open...I wa shocked he even said that...like I was standing in a free food line. Since then, I havent been back. The food was tasty at the time. but to me customer service plays a bigger. small portions but tasty.. i give them one star.

This review is about the fried chicken wings I ordered Sunday, January 9, 2022. I'm mentioning the date so the person who cooked the old dried out wings or double, tripled refried chicken wings know that was wrong and unacceptable and hopefully not to serve wings like that again. The prices went up a lot, so be it, but don't sell subpar food trying to save a dollar when you raised your prices. I don't live close to Mama's so I didn't bring the dried out fried chicken wings back. I've been supporting Mama's for years even when they were located down the street. Out of all those years I have never eaten anything terrible where I had to give a negative review but the dried up wings were unacceptable. I noticed that Mama's wasn't crowded like they usually are, hmmm, I wonder why. I don't think it's just the price raise, I think some of the food or food preparation is going down hill. Wake up Mama's selling subpar food is not cute and definitely not going to keep your customers, do better.

Drive in for early day pickup for a holiday order. Convenient Parking although small so expect to Street Park during busy times, Food was ready on time and service staff very helpful to make sure I did leave anything I needed when I got home. So far still great food and service.

Never, ever, EVER consistent. You will almost NEVER order the same meal twice, and it tastes the same. The attitude and wait is crazy. I'm so saddened that this isn't the same quality as Mama's when they first opened back in the day, down the street from the current location. I'm talking about when the corner store next to it used to be called Sonny's. I've lived in Vauxhall many years and It's sad to see the decline in something that was so good. And especially in an area where the opportunity to amaze the people of the town would make for major success.
