Berghotel Tulbingerkogel

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. A very warm welcome and the room was beautiful, as in the photos. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were all beautiful. Breakfast was delicious when vegetarian I was not too happy at dinner, as the vegetarian meal was served with Palmasan cheese, not really many vegetarian or vegan choices. I would definitely recommend staying here and I hope to return soon as it is really a beautiful place.

We have waited exactly 1h30 (90 minutes) between the order and finally get what we ordered (yes, we say they have it at least 70% right). No explanation, no possibility to order at least drinks to pass the time. Fully unacceptable also for a cheap restaurant that is definitely not this.

We visit this restaurant regularly if we want to celebrate something or impress our guests. In addition to the excellent view over the Wiener Wald, the atmosphere is cozy and the food is excellent. Take time to enjoy it and if you are interested in rarities, try a bottle of thousands of wine specialities.

We reserved a table on christmas day and were already surprised by the friendly greeting at the door as a well dressed man came and took our jackets. The view was sadly not seen but the fog and iced trees made it nice anyway. Inside there were nice decorations and service was outstanding. The food was extraordinary (especially the carpaccio and potatoes) and although we changed our order the service never forgot or got anything wrong. Although prices are high this restaurant is a perfect location for a christmas lunch and is greatly recommended to others who are looking for a slightly fancy place to have good food and enjoy nice times with the family. Dogs are welcome to this restaurant as it is extremely family friendly. We will certainly be coming back!!!

As described in our hotel review, this is not a cheap option, but the food is well and elegantly served... they tend to know who ordered what without asking. One of our groups was not very fluent in German, and an English version of the menu was immediately provided. (How many menu translations do they miss the fact that we often use French and occasionally use German menu conditions in English. The wine list is the only one I can remember to come to the front in a big tone with an index. And the wines we had were very pleasant, especially the sparkling Rosé Aperitif.
