Sweetgrass Cafe - Trochu

During a tranquil outing, we stumbled upon the charming Rampart Café in Trochu. The decor was delightful and the staff were incredible. Freddy took care of us as our server, while Suzanne, the owner, prepared our lunch. The pleasant surprise was the delectable seafood melt, featuring a perfect blend of cheeses and cooked to perfection. It paired perfectly with the accompanying seafood chowder. The lunch special of rib dip was a feast for the eyes, loaded with a generous portion of savory and hot French fries. The French dip sauce had a delightful swirl of flavors. If you find yourself on the eastern side of Central Alberta, just north of Three Hills, make sure to check their hours and stop by for a fantastic hospitality experience.

During a snowy and cold November day in Alberta, we stumbled upon Sweetgrass Cafe in Trochu while looking for a restaurant or cafe along Highway 21. It turned out to be the perfect stop in this historic city. We had a delicious lunch, consisting of a Reuben sandwich, soup and bread, and a latte. The service was friendly, the restaurant was impeccably clean, and we were pleased to support a local owner.

During a visit to friends in Huxley, we enjoyed lunch at a restaurant they recommended, Sweetgrass Cafe. It turned out to be an excellent choice with friendly staff and generous portions. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad while my wife had the Reuben sandwich. The other couple in our group opted for the Reuben and Philly steak sandwiches.

Fabulous eating, fabulous service and impressively clean. we chose the 10 unzen sirloin burger w/ salat and fries it tasty (burger are handmade) have hunger!

We had a light lunch. Unfortunately the cook was not available, so they improvised some meals. Delicious fries. Good latte! Lemonade a bit to sweet for my taste. Waiters friendly, but overwhelmed. Forgot water, type of bread chosen for order. Friendliness and atmosphere made the...lunch lovely.
