We have visited twice this week. It is a wonderful place. Today we took papa and he absolutely loved it. The meals were very tasty and delicious. The staff are so kind and extremely helpful. They speak good English. It is extremely clean and well run. We love our pasta al dente and this was perfect. The goulash and polenta was to die for, A wide range of dishes which are not expensive, The menu of the day is excellent value. We cannot wait to visit again. Thank you so much. Full of Italians which says how very good it is,
The primi paite (first plates were not too bad. My wife had tortelli in brodo, I had spaghetti con sardi, spaghetti with sardines. The brodo was a nice clear chicken soup with tortellini. Tasted good. My sardine dish tasted of sardine but not a single sardine in sight. I was butter spaghetti with a sardine crumb. The mains......well they took forever!!!!! But as I think is a German custom (we are in Italy....hello! , they serve the side dishes way, way, before the mains. I asked where they were... “subito” (immediately was his response. I guess our definition is very different. At this point I felt like paying for what we’d had and leaving....the service was so bad I guess they wouldn’t know for hours! The side dishes A cold salad (so yes you do serve cold dishes...read a previous review was the worst presentation of a salad I’d ever seen in Italy. You’d get better at a supermarket cafe. Just finely shredded carrot and cabbage and some red radicchio. My side dish was a few fried potatoes (vegetables of the day ....wow, obviously very imaginative! Very oily and sparsely populated on the plate. My main (as recommended by our waitress was fried cheese!!!!!! Are you kidding me? 2 slices of fried cheese served with very salt polenta that was served on the plate like “goop”! My wife had the pork, that was over cooked and dry!! The only good thing that saved the dish was the nice gravey! Oh yeah....that came with the “hoop” too. Give me the bill, we are out of here!
A few steps from the pedestrian streets of the city center, after having passed a small lane, you reach this restaurant of typical Trentino cuisine. Atmosfera quite discounted but very fast service (time is money, of course) and skillfully cooked dishes make it an interesting place to stop. I highly recommend spatzli and canederli...and absolutely must test the excellent strudel (or woven cake, equivalent) or apple with cinnamon. I would like to order the wines (I have spread a lagrein for excellent wine but I must recognize that in addition to pure alcohol and sulphites of bad quality wine the drink had very little) Average cost per person considering a flow with water and sweet wine of about 20€
We had lunch in this restaurant on August. I was surprised by the kindness and goodness of food. we have tasted two excellent and abundant fillets of beef, one with finferli and the other with porcini mushrooms, rabbit to the hunter and tagliatelle integral to the ragù (I look for the second dishes are accompanied by the contour of potatoes to the oven and polenta. Surprising sweets for goodness and delicacy. Fair account and at the end of the meal we were offered a bitter/grappa. To try definitely
