My husband and I like to think of us as self-proclaimed whisky aficionados, although I am sure we are far away from it in the eyes of a professional. Traverse City is one of our favorite weekend destinations for local whisky tasting. We'll stop at Traverse City Whiskey Co when we're in town. This latest time we celebrated our first wedding anniversary and thought for a nightcap... okay, two nightcaps. The distillery has an undeniable charm. It offers a rustic interior with lots of wood and metal. The room feels warm and invites with the right amount of dark surroundings. My favorite element of their tasting room is their wall of whisky barrels, all decorated with the company logo. They take their craft seriously and this attention to detail is reflected in every aspect of their business. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like in the presence of some real whisky experts. The tasting room is on the smaller size, but it only adds charm to the dark environment. Traverse City Whiskey Co. was founded by three friends. Chris, Jared and Moti, were inspired by Chris's great grandfather patents to distill whiskey on the family's cherryyard. They imagined creating a small batch brand that would pay homage to their roots in the next decades and would become a stack of Traverse City's Spirit scene. You are clearly successful! Your whiskey is something of the best we cost, and we cost a lot. We always make sure that we are on a bottle (or two) in stock to take home with us and always keep some on reserve for hosting companies! But it is not only the whisky selection that is amazing its cocktail menu is also fantastic. My personal favorite is the Cherry Sour, who is made with his own cherry infused whisky. It is sweet, tart and perfectly balanced. Traverse city Whiskey Co. also has some of the coolest merch and unique that we have ever seen. From T-shirts, to hats, to bottles, they have everything you need to show your love for this classic distillery. We always go home with a bag full of equipment and whiskey. When I buy and sport local equipment, I do that! Traverse City Whiskey Co is the perfect place to relax on some delicious whiskey, and enjoy the amazing atmosphere.

TCWC is a must when you come to Traverse City. Friendly staff, nice selection of cocktails, dog friendly, and cozy seating. Really great place to stop before or after dinner. I want to see bigger / larger portion of cocktails, but they are really well done. Definitely a few bottles to go!

We always have a great experience here. The staff is great, and we love the whiskey'rita and whiskey sours.
