Masala Indian - Townsville

Had a great visit, table of 5 and we all enjoyed our meals. My chef's special goat curry was incredible, meat was tender and the curry flavourful. My partner enjoyed his chicken tikka sawadee. One of our party is vegan and enjoyed her choice of options. The lady serving us was friendly and conversational.

You can enjoy a wine or beer in here while waiting for your dinner amongst a real Indian feel. After traveling India I can certainly say this is a real taste of a good restaurant there. While it is not necessarily somewhere to go on a tight budget I highly recommend it.

Our local Indian, but sorry, it has a few issues. So incredibly slow to provide service in the restaurant - no fault of the staff, they are friendly enough but there just aren't enough of them. It could be so much better by just addressing that. Not sure about you but $22 for a mixed entree is a bit steep. Not sure the two of us had a great experience for the $72.70 we paid. There's plenty of other options around Cannon Park.

Just recently we have been receiving the wrong order on several occasions. Today a Keema naan came as a sweet coconut naan? And one of the 3 meals came with some sort of wire in it. Called them about the incorrect order and were asked to take naan back, who has time for that? Called about the wire, as we found this after the first issue, and again unfortunately no satisfaction; for a possible chocking was offered to be credited a free rice. Health and safety are going to be informed.

This restaurant was recommended for good authentic Bengali food. We were not disappointed. Starters were good quality and the mains were just the right size. Reasonably priced. To be able to sit outside in early September was a bonus
