Cafe Nova And Gallery - Townsville

We accidentally discovered Cafe Nova this morning. I'm so glad we made it! The food was wonderful, very expensive and very plentiful! The three gentlemen were all so beautiful, and the coffee is strong and smooth. Do NOT fit a piece of caramel tart, we took it home for afternoon tea, along with a piece of apple tart. It is so rare to find a cafe with real homemade sweets (not FoodService frozen pleasures), and these are worth the calories. The caramel is not too sweet, and the cookie base is amazing everything on its own. We had the hearty mint that was rich and tasty. The chopped eggs on the laugh Benny were the best soft poached I have seen in Townsville, they held together and then burst spectacular. We'll come back and I'll bring Mom and Dad next time. It is worth calling to check all vintage matters around, including a very cool old jukebox.

Wow this place enhances charm and character you will not find in many other cafes! Such a great cozy atmosphere under amazing history and antiques. Yummy food and friendly service feels like Grandma gives you warm hug while enjoying your home cooked meal. Great place to go alone or with your friends. I definitely can't wait to go back soon!

Do yourself a favour and frequent the Cafe Nova in Townsville. A hidden gem and we're so thankful we found this unique establishment. Perfect food, perfect setting, perfect ambience, desserts to die for and service second to none. The icing on the cake...perfect hosts!
