Nakamori Japanese Restaurant - Toronto

Wow! Easily the best sushi I've had in Toronto! The flavours were exceptional and loved the techniques used. Started with sashimi and the jerk spiced karaage. As other reviewers have mentioned the tuna is fantastic! Loved the mango aioli on top! Shared the spicy Salmon, soft shell crab, spicy lobster California and butter teriyaki scallop rolls. All four were fabulous but the soft shell crab was extraordinary. Also tried the beef keema curry comfort food in a bowl! For dessert we tried the green tea tiramisu and chocolate souffle. Once again fantastic! Service is impeccable. Only negative of the night was questioning why we didn't come sooner! Highly recommend!

A hidden gem in the heart of Scarborough. Price is on the higher side, but this reflects the high quality of seafood served. Very accommodating staff and good attention to detail. Pleasant experience overall and I will certainly return for another meal.

One of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to so far! Every thing we ordered was fresh and the tasted awesome. The server was very attentive and the chef seemed to be enjoying his work he was actually bobbing to the music that was playing, while prepping our lunch! Side note: That teapot was unusually heavy!!

Nakamori is cozy, cool and calm. The ramen and sushi were great. Their menu has something for everyone and the staff is so friendly. Definitely coming back here again and again.

What a delightful find in this hidden Scarborough plaza! This will definitely be a spot I return to and bring visitors when entertaining. The food presentation was honestly beautiful. We ordered the butter teriyaki scallop signature roll, the daily bento box with miso and salad (with phenomenally thin carrot slices , and the lobster coconut curry ramen. I would recommend each of these items. The signature roll came with four large pieces. The flavour combinations were already so rich, you don’t need to be dipping in soy sauce. The tempura in the bento box were hot and crisp. The teriyaki in the bento box came out on a bed of sautéed vegetables like carrots, yam, and celery. The ramen broth was amazing and spicy like ginger. The noodle texture was perfectly chewy. Once your food comes out, the price tag makes sense. We left very full. The service was also sweet. I think our server was in training and she did great. : I’m excited to go back and try more on the menu.
