The food here is so disgusting. Tempura was so rough, not fresh. I was told it was frozen tempura. I tried twice. When I first ordered, the food was cold. For the second time, I noticed that the dough was hard to chew? it tasted as if it was days old and simply reheated. I also noticed that the restaurant looks very unlived. I will definitely not go back here, there is a better Japanese restaurant around Danforth-Pape area, near Starbucks. Please do a favor and don't waste your money here. The only good thing I can say about her food is that her miso soup is delicious. Friendly and accommodating staff.
Budget friendly sushi restaurant. For the money you pay, you get a lot of food. Would it be the same quality as $200 Omakase course meal? Definitely not. Was salmon thin on my sushi paper? Was it relatively fresh? It was interesting to find out, depending on where you order, although it is the same set menu, price, quantity and product selection vary. I first wanted to use 1 Uber Eats Deal, then I realized that you actually got a better deal from Doordash. Doordash-Deal was even better than Ordeing from the Monkey Sushi website. Monkey Special Set C $16.95). Served 5 pieces salmon sushi, 5 pieces tuna sushi, 1 gold dragon maki 6). Matsu Box $20.95). 1 green dragon maki 6), 3 salmon sashimi, 5 pieces sushi salmon, tuna, tilapia, but they call it red snaps) , crabs shrimps), 2 shrimps 4 veggie tempura, 1 fried emptying, 1 spring roll, 1 pork catsu rice. They also delivered 2 miso soup almost smeared like a kind of broth) I got another $5 off and ended pay $37.18 for pickup service not delivery). Was shocked by the amount of food when I picked up. It literally made 4 meals. Would I order it again when I bless to Sushi, but I don't want to break my bank? Yes, I will.
Bright, cozy Japanese restaurant in Danforth Greek city. For the first time, Monkey Sushi is trying at this point. Great customer service. The staff was very friendly and friendly. Tried their 28 pieces sashimi sushi combo, bbq eels lover combo and their signature shrimp tempura. Each combo came with a bowl of fog soup and a mixed green salad. Sashimi and sushi were fresh and delicious. Assorted Tempura came with 3 pieces of shrimp and 6 pieces of Veggie. They were crispy, hot and perfectly cooked. Her Japanese green tea was charged separately. We ordered 2 and didn't know we were charged until we got the bill. Total experience was good. Will definitely return to other dishes on the menu.
I have received from Monkey Sushi several times outside Uber Eats because of their constant purchase a free combo offers. You will get a lot of sushi for the price you pay so the review will definitely not increase the quality due to the value. Especially if you have the Uber Eats Pass, this place will really be the best bang for your Buck. I've never been immersed, so I can't comment on her atmosphere inside. The quality of their sushi is average, more on the side of everything you can eat sushi. I never had a bad experience with them, but sometimes their delivery times can be a little longer than I want. The combo in my photo is her Monkie Special Set for $22.95, where you can choose 3 reels / sushi / sashimi / hand rolls of your choice. This combo also comes with miso soup. It is usually buy, you get one free, so you can get two sets of it for this price. Here we have their Crazy Dragon Role, Spicy Salmon and Tuna Role (it was not spicy, but had crispy bits in it) and 2 pieces of fresh salmon nigiri.
Ordered delivery via ubereats buy one get one free offer and it was decent for what we got, keeping in mind it was pretty much half price, costing us $40 instead of $80. Order was timely and arrived within the given time window. The monkie special set includes 1 hand roll, and your choice of a few pieces of nigiri or rolls. We got the sea dragon roll which was pretty good and had quite a bit of eel and avocado. The nigiri sushi was pretty good as well. Overall everything was pretty fresh upon delivery. Our favourite was the hot fusion roll. It's sort of a torched salmon roll and was very flavourful. So for $40, this was definitely worth it. If they didn't have the BOGO offer.. Debatable.
