Przekaż informację zwrotnąAs we were still enjoying our appetizers, my main course was brought out to me. I was surprised by how fast the service was, as we had not even finished our appetizers yet. However, after 15-20 minutes, another entree was served, and then another 15-20 minutes later, the wrong pasta dish was brought out (for the unfortunate birthday boy). It wasn't until we inquired about the whereabouts of the fourth entree that we were informed of an error in the ordering system which had caused the missing meal. Mistakes happen, but this did not excuse the long intervals between dish servings and the lack of recognition for the celebration. Disappointed by our experience, we decided to visit Piano Piano the following night to make up for the birthday dinner mishap. Our meals were all served correctly and at the same time, which was amazing considering our previous experience. Not only did they acknowledge the birthday, but they also surprised us with a free dessert topped with a sparkler without us even having to ask. If you're in search of a great Italian restaurant, I would recommend going to Piano Piano instead.
Overall, the experience was enjoyable. Our server was quite accommodating when the sun shifted and was in our faces. Unfortunately, they don't offer gluten free options for the outside patio though.
I blame myself for not getting the full details of the Eataly’s Il Patio area. We specifically chose the Yorkville location for the Brunch menu. I have to say the food did not disappoint. The only downfall was it was totally separate from the famous Eataly market vibe that it’s known for. Another disappointing part was that they did not serve coffee in the Patio location. What no coffee??? Weird. Moving on, the food was spectacular. We ordered the smoked salmon sandwich, fried Parma potatoes, tiramisu pancakes, eggs Benedict and gnocchi. All dishes were delicious. I would definitely go back but just not sitting at the patio.
There are no restroom facilities available at this restaurant. Guests must go inside Eataly to access them, which is very inconvenient. The patio is difficult to clean after it rains, and the servers had a hard time rearranging the tables to keep guests dry. Despite their efforts, it was clear they were limited in what they could do. When we inquired about the menu being served at the upstairs restaurant in Eataly, we received conflicting answers from two servers simultaneously. It was unclear whether we could have brunch there or if each restaurant had a different menu. We had to ask for our bill three times from three different servers before finally receiving it. While I love Eataly and regularly dine at their indoor restaurants, this will be my last visit to the outdoor version.
The outdoor dining area is located on the street, which I didn't find to be the ideal setup. Additionally, I was disappointed to find out that they had run out of focaccia. I thought that was unacceptable.
